Confused about car finance....you're not alone!

May 25, 2017

Are you like most of my clients?

They are in the market for a new or used car and need finance, but don't know what finance type is right for them, or which lender to talk to.

That is where we can help. We provide advice and loan solutions to our clients so they end up with the correct type of finance. With the most appropriate interest rate for their circumstances.

There are many variables that effect interest rates for car & equipment finance.

These include, but are not limited to:

- Whether you are a business owner ( self employed) or consumer (employed on a salary & wages basis)

- Finance product type

- Whether you are a home owner or renter

- The age of the item you are looking to purchase

- Your financial position & credit history

Each one of these factors has the potential to change your interest rate and the payments you will have to make following purchase of the item.

There can also be a big difference between lender requirements, rates and lender policy. These variable's change frequently.

It is not in your best interests to go to a lender directly or even your existing motor vehicle lender if you are trading your existing car for a new one.

They are under no obligation to offer you a rate better than the next lender. There are also many instances these days where lenders can have different tiers of interest rates within the same bank. It is all very confusing for the average punter.

Using a broker will give you options and access to the most appropriate interest rate and product for your circumstance.

Recently we provided finance for a client who was a customer of one of our big banks. They were in the market for a new car and were trading the existing vehicle which had finance on it. They were offered a rate with the existing lender for the new vehicle of approx 14%. They got in touch with us and we were able to get it done for about 7%. You can imagine the difference in repayments and interest payable over the term of the loan. It pays (or saves) to get a second opinion before signing on the dotted line.

If you are looking for a new car and need help with finance don't hesitate to reach out to us. The testimonials on our page are evidence that our clients best interest's are important to us. We can do the same for you.

Best Regards,

Simon.
